We are seeking a Business Development Executive based in Abingdon-On-Thames. This full-time onsite position involves generating new customer business and renewing accounts within RM’s smaller client base. The role primarily focuses on outbound calls, emails, and virtual meetings to identify and close sales opportunities. You will need to develop market knowledge related to technology and education to effectively match RM’s product offerings with customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create new sales leads by using cold outreach methods including emails and calls, leveraging both company-provided and self-developed content.
- Utilize databases to identify and target prospects.
- Engage with customers to understand their requirements and find suitable sales opportunities, qualifying these for RM.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Product Marketing and Prospecting to deliver successful campaigns.
- Manage the sales pipeline by tracking opportunities through various stages and ensuring coverage against sales targets.
- Maintain regular communication with prospects and mitigate risks by ensuring all opportunities are properly qualified and advanced promptly.
- Prioritize and allocate time efficiently among opportunities and forecast sales accurately.
- Keep CRM data updated diligently.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement and qualification through to providing quotes, addressing customer queries, offering trusted advice, and closing deals.
Candidate Profile and Experience
- Experience working with customers to understand and respond to their needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate how RM’s solutions add value.
- Strong collaboration skills to contribute effectively within the team.
- Self-motivated and capable of independently managing customer relationships and sales targets.
- Comfortable analyzing data and working with numbers.
- Analytical mind with sound judgement to evaluate and convert sales opportunities.
- Effective planning and organizational abilities to manage a sales pipeline efficiently.
- Results-driven with enthusiasm to meet objectives, targets, and KPIs.
- Adaptable, with a positive attitude towards learning and role evolution.
