Job description

Overview

Indus Technologies is seeking a technically proficient Business Development Executive to promote Arduino UNO Q adoption among universities, engineering colleges, and polytechnics throughout India. This hybrid role blends technical sales, academic business development, curriculum design, and delivery of hands-on training programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and connect with academic institutions including universities, engineering colleges, and polytechnics nationwide.
  • Engage with heads of departments, faculty, principals, and institutional decision makers to build partnerships.
  • Market Arduino UNO Q for bulk procurement, curriculum integration, student projects, and lab setups.
  • Conduct product demos and manage the complete sales process from lead generation to order finalization.
  • Create custom laboratory proposals detailing hardware components, bill of materials, and costing.
  • Develop academic content such as curricula, lab manuals, practical exercises, certification programs, and project-based learning material.
  • Lead workshops, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and hands-on technical training sessions for students and educators.
  • Design technical demos and projects spanning Embedded Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), and Automation.
  • Collaborate closely with internal technical and sales teams to prepare proposals, demonstrations, training, and project execution.
  • Continuously seek new academic opportunities and cultivate long-term institutional collaborations.
  • Maintain records of leads, proposals, institutional communications, demonstrations, and emerging business prospects.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Robotics, Automation, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong understanding of microcontrollers, development boards, sensors, and embedded system concepts.
  • Knowledge in IoT, Robotics, AI/ML, and hardware interfacing technologies.
  • Proficiency in developing technical projects, laboratory proposals, curricula, and practical training modules.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and instructional skills tailored to technical audiences.
  • Proven business development aptitude with excellent relationship-building capabilities.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students, faculty, and higher education decision makers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across India for institutional engagement.

Performance Metrics

  • Focus initially on outreach volume to universities and colleges rather than fixed revenue targets.
  • Measure success by quantity and quality of qualified institutional leads generated.
  • Track Arduino UNO Q sales, lab proposals submitted, curriculum and training material developed.
  • Evaluate impact of workshops, FDPs, and training sessions organized and executed.
  • Monitor growth of institutional partnerships and generated business via board sales, laboratory setups, and academic programs.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A self-motivated individual with a blend of strong technical knowledge and business development expertise. Comfortable in academic environments, adept at assessing institution needs, devising technical solutions, delivering compelling demos and training, and driving deals from initial contact through successful closure.
