Overview
FreedomPay provides an advanced Commerce Platform trusted by leading global brands across industries including retail, hospitality, gaming, healthcare, and financial services. Our platform offers reliable performance in complex global commerce environments, supported by industry-first PCI Security Council validation for Point-to-Point Encryption with EMV in North America. FreedomPay’s solutions unify payments, security, identity, and analytics across in-store, online, and mobile channels with rapid API integration on a single global technology stack. Our company fosters a fast-paced, high-growth culture with competitive benefits and a business casual workplace.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced senior sales professional to join our commercial team and lead sales of FreedomPay’s platform and services to both mid-market and enterprise clients. This position manages the entire sales process from creating pipelines to closing deals. The sales approach is consultative and complex, involving multi-stakeholder decision-making, RFP management, ROI analysis, and internal collaboration with solutions engineering, product, and partner teams. This role requires a high level of autonomy, commercial insight, and balancing short- and long-term strategic sales efforts.
Deal Characteristics
- Enterprise clients are defined by transaction volume, deployment complexity, and operational scale rather than gross processing volume alone.
- Enterprise deals typically handle 15-20 million to over 1 billion annual transactions, spanning numerous locations and geographies, integrating with multiple vendors (POS, ISVs, acquirers).
- Sales cycles are consultative, multi-year engagements commonly involving formal RFPs, compliance and security reviews, and executive stakeholders.
- Applicants familiar with enterprise criteria defined only by transaction volume will find FreedomPay engagements larger and more complex.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end sales lifecycle including sourcing leads, qualifying opportunities, negotiating deals, and closing contracts.
- Drive sales of the FreedomPay platform, services, and solutions across mid-market and enterprise segments.
- Support partner-led sales with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Acquirers, Financial Institutions (FIs), and Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), alongside direct sales to merchants.
- Lead multi-stakeholder consultative engagements including technology, operations, finance, and executive teams.
- Prepare and tailor RFP responses, value propositions, and detailed ROI analyses for customers and partners.
- Deliver persuasive presentations about FreedomPay’s unique advantages both in-person and virtually.
- Develop strategic partnerships and cultivate relationships with ISVs, Acquirers, FIs, and ISOs.
- Coordinate internally with engineering, product, implementation, and partner management teams to support complex deals.
- Maintain and grow long-term client relationships to foster incremental revenue and account expansion.
- Stay informed on market developments, competitor activity, technical, regulatory and commercial trends to refine sales strategies.
- Accurately forecast sales pipeline and diligently manage open opportunities.
- Fulfill additional duties supporting the commercial organization as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Between 7 to 10 years of sales experience in B2B software, payments, or financial technology sectors.
- Proven track record selling complex, multi-location, and multi-stakeholder technical or operational solutions.
- Experience selling both directly to merchants and collaborating with ISVs, Acquirers, Financial Institutions or ISOs.
- Strong ability to independently generate pipeline while also supporting sales via partners.
- Expertise in leading consultative sales processes including RFPs, security assessments, and ROI justification.
- Existing relationships within enterprise merchant clients are advantageous.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent networking, relationship management, and negotiation capabilities.
- Ability to translate client and partner needs into structured, compelling commercial proposals.
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, startup-like environment.
- Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously and be accountable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of eCommerce and digital payment platforms is preferred.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Additional Information
- Success depends on versality to sell across direct and partner-led motions, closing both mid-market and enterprise deals without differentiation in sales quota credit.
- FreedomPay offers excellent career growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding commerce technology firm.
- Employee benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans with company match, commission sharing, flexible hybrid work policies, and family leave programs.
- Positions require successful background and credit checks.
- FreedomPay is an Equal Opportunity Employer; all qualified applicants will be considered regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
