The platform connects students with unique discounts, top brands, and engaging experiences. With aspirations to become the ultimate super app for student life, ClassMate is expanding its presence throughout Qatar and beyond.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Executive, you will oversee a dedicated category on the ClassMate platform. Your core responsibility involves identifying, approaching, and onboarding relevant vendors. You will manage the entire sales cycle – from lead generation and meetings to proposal negotiation and vendor onboarding – aiming to establish a robust and appealing category for the student community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage an assigned vendor category on ClassMate.
  • Conduct research to identify potential vendors and build a pipeline of partnership prospects.
  • Contact businesses through calls, emails, and in-person visits to introduce ClassMate.
  • Arrange and participate in meetings to communicate ClassMate’s offerings and benefits.
  • Negotiate partnership terms, including student offers and commercial agreements.
  • Draft proposals and oversee agreements and onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure vendors are ready to launch on the platform.
  • Maintain ongoing vendor relationships and assist with partnership inquiries.
  • Monitor outreach activities, follow-ups, meeting outcomes, and onboarding status against targets.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the vendor mix and category quality.

Candidate Profile

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with some experience in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Availability for full-time, office-based work in Lusail, Qatar, including travel for vendor meetings and visits.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in English; Arabic language abilities are a plus.
  • Confident, personable, and skilled at building professional relationships.
  • Organized, proactive, and diligent in following up on leads and tasks.
  • Eager to learn, take initiative, meet sales goals, and grow professionally.
  • Familiarity with the Qatari market or previous experience collaborating with local businesses is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

  • An attractive salary package commensurate with experience and skills.
  • Ownership of a critical category influencing ClassMate’s growth trajectory.
  • Practical exposure to sales techniques, negotiation, partnership development, and account management.
  • Engagement with a diverse range of businesses, from local favorites to prominent brands.
  • A nurturing environment that fosters learning and responsibility.
  • Clear pathways for career progression into senior and leadership positions.
  • Possibility to contribute to regional expansion efforts as the company evolves.
