Job Overview
The role of a Sales Development Representative (SDR) focuses on spearheading outbound sales initiatives to generate valuable business leads. This position involves targeting potential clients, engaging key decision-makers, qualifying prospects, and building a robust sales pipeline to support the Account Executive team. The ideal candidate thrives in a target-centric, fast-moving B2B SaaS setting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential customers in sectors such as e-commerce, direct-to-consumer (D2C), and retail.
- Develop targeted account lists using platforms like LinkedIn and other lead generation databases.
- Carry out structured outbound campaigns via cold calls, emails, and social selling methods.
- Generate and qualify leads to expand the sales funnel consistently.
- Execute high-volume outbound calls to present products and solutions effectively.
- Create tailored outreach campaigns through emails and LinkedIn to boost engagement rates.
- Meet daily and weekly outreach activity targets diligently.
- Handle objections professionally to maintain productive conversations with prospects.
- Understand the client's business challenges, technological setups, and operational needs.
- Qualify leads based on ideal customer profiles, business demands, and purchase intent.
- Conduct discovery calls to evaluate opportunity potential and urgency.
- Maintain accurate qualification documentation to ease sales handoff.
- Schedule qualified meetings and product demos for sales colleagues.
- Regularly update CRM systems with ongoing customer interactions, lead statuses, and opportunity details.
- Facilitate smooth transition of qualified leads to Account Executives.
- Track pipeline progress and follow up as necessary.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive products, and customer challenges.
- Provide market feedback and customer insights to Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
- Refine outreach strategies informed by prospect feedback and campaign outcomes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in SaaS Sales or IT Software Services sales roles, specifically in Business Development or Sales Development.
- Proven experience in SaaS sales is mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English and Hindi.
- Skillful in cold calling, lead prospecting, and handling objections.
- Target-driven, self-motivated, and effective in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Basic knowledge of e-commerce, retail technology, or SaaS products.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms like HubSpot or equivalent sales tools.
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and outbound sales techniques.
- Analytical with a capacity to identify promising leads effectively.

Additional Information
The interviews are conducted onsite in Noida or Gurugram locations. This is a full-time position requiring work from the office. The role emphasizes a proactive attitude towards outbound sales and a strong orientation towards results within a B2B SaaS domain.
