About CalBrix

CalBrix is specialized calibration operations software created by Montford Orbis Limited, tailored for calibration laboratories and industrial teams. The platform centralizes equipment records, work orders, calibration outcomes, reviews, approvals, and certificate creation into a unified, controlled environment. Its design promotes the standardization of everyday calibration tasks, enhances traceability, and aids in maintaining clear records for internal audits and reviews. CalBrix aligns with workflows based on ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001 standards, although it does not directly confer accreditation or regulatory compliance guarantees.

Role Overview

The position of Business Development Associate aims to drive the introduction of CalBrix to calibration labs and organizations involved in industrial operations. The chosen candidate will conduct thorough research on potential clients, identify decision-makers, initiate contact, qualify leads, and coordinate product demonstrations or consultations with the company founder. This role involves comprehensive training on CalBrix, calibration industry workflows, and related markets. It suits an individual eager to develop professionally within an early-stage tech company by taking initiative and establishing a foundational business development operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire detailed knowledge of the CalBrix platform and effectively communicate its benefits.
  • Investigate calibration labs and industrial companies in targeted regions.
  • Identify key decision-makers across laboratory, quality, engineering, maintenance, and operations departments.
  • Develop and maintain organized databases of potential clients.
  • Reach out to prospects via email, phone, LinkedIn, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Introduce CalBrix in a professional manner to potential buyers.
  • Assess leads by understanding their requirements, current workflows, challenges, and interest intensity.
  • Arrange product demos and review sessions with the company founder.
  • Deliver introductory product presentations when needed.
  • Persistently follow up with prospects to advance qualified leads through the sales funnel.
  • Log all prospect interactions and follow-up activities in the company CRM system.
  • Maintain CRM entries with accuracy and completeness.
  • Compile daily activity summaries and weekly pipeline progress reports.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and other sales collateral.
  • Offer insights during strategy and business development meetings.
  • Represent CalBrix professionally in meetings, industry events, and related sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Confidence in presenting concepts to technical and non-technical groups.
  • Proficiency in conducting market, company, and customer research.
  • Basic knowledge of lead generation, prospect qualification, and sales follow-up processes.
  • Strong organizational aptitude with keen attention to detail.
  • Comfortable operating digital tools such as email, LinkedIn, spreadsheets, presentation applications, CRM platforms, and others.
  • Self-driven, reliable, and able to pursue measurable objectives.
  • Capable of multitasking and working independently without ongoing supervision.
  • Willingness to acquire technical knowledge related to calibration and industrial operations.
  • Availability to work full-time on-site in Takoradi, Ghana.
  • Possession of a dependable personal laptop suited for modern web applications including presentations, video conferencing, email, and CRM software.
  • Commitment to utilizing the laptop as the primary work device; necessary accounts and training will be provided by CalBrix.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related disciplines is preferred but not mandatory. Previous experience in business development, sales, account management, software, industrial services, or laboratory operations is advantageous. Familiarity with calibration standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO 9001 is a plus; however, training will be offered.
