About the Company

Our client is a well-established global financial services firm with expertise in international payments and foreign exchange (FX). They operate at significant scale across multiple international markets and have a headquarters based in New Zealand. The company is currently expanding its sales team in the local market.

Role Summary

This newly created position focuses on acquiring new clients, reporting directly to the Country Manager. The successful candidate will engage with small and medium-sized businesses involved in international trade, leveraging outbound calling and consultative sales techniques to build long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate new business opportunities primarily through proactive outbound cold calling.
  • Identify and connect with small to medium businesses requiring international payment or FX services.
  • Conduct a consultative sales approach by understanding client requirements before recommending solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a personal pipeline and client portfolio of new business.
  • Ensure smooth transition of acquired clients to the portfolio management team.
  • Keep precise CRM records and maintain disciplined pipeline management.
  • Achieve defined revenue and client acquisition targets to advance within the role.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the products and market to effectively engage clients and colleagues.

Candidate Requirements

  • Background in sales is preferred; previous experience in cold calling, B2B sales, or agency recruitment is beneficial.
  • A genuine interest in clients, markets, and financial products.
  • Possession of a finance or commerce qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Comfortable handling a high volume of calls and managing rejection as part of the sales process.
  • Coachability, competitiveness, and motivation driven by clear targets.
  • Ability to confidently conduct consultative discussions with business owners.
