Job description

About NxtJob

NxtJob.ai is an AI-first career platform focusing on mid-to-senior professionals in India. The company operates two major initiatives: Job Force One, an AI-assisted, coach-led job search program, and Sw!tch, an executive program for senior leaders seeking critical career transitions. The platform leverages nine AI agents to assist users throughout their entire job search, including resume building, networking, interview preparation, and negotiation.

Role Overview

As the first analyst at NxtJob, reporting directly to CXOs, you will develop and implement the analytics framework spanning growth marketing and operations. This involves establishing reporting structures, automating data workflows, and extracting actionable insights that drive decision-making across the company. You are encouraged to incorporate AI to enhance efficiency wherever applicable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain growth analytics encompassing marketing, CRM, and revenue funnels, covering all customer journey stages from ad engagement to closed sales.
  • Manage attribution efforts, including maintaining clean UTM taxonomies and calculating channel, campaign, and creative-level customer acquisition costs (CAC) and return on ad spend (ROAS) for Meta and Google platforms, reconciling these with actual payment data.
  • Conduct lead quality scoring and cohort analyses to identify effective audiences and campaigns that convert leads into paying customers.
  • Ensure revenue data integrity by tracking booking versus cash collection, deposit to full-payment or EMI conversion rates, and diagnosing payment failures for high-value plans.
  • Provide insights on presales and sales performance metrics such as calls, bookings, show rates, closing rates, objection trends, and sales representative capacity.
  • Develop weekly business reviews and KPI scorecards aligned with a unified north-star metric across company functions.
  • Establish operational analytics by tracking client lifecycle funnels—from onboarding through resume and LinkedIn activation to client retention—identifying time gaps, SLA breaches, and bottlenecks.
  • Monitor active job search outcomes including outreach, acceptance, referrals, screenings, interviews, and job offers, segmented by client, account manager, and cohort.
  • Create dashboards for account manager performance, detect early risk signals, and support escalation management.
  • Analyze the Sw!tch program’s pipeline, phase progression, coach and panel utilization, and leadership client outcomes using ERP data.
  • Track community engagement metrics and analyze their correlation with job search outcomes.
  • Build and manage data pipelines integrating advertising platforms, website and app events, CRM/ERP, payment gateways, and product databases to create a single reliable data source.
  • Improve data quality at the source by fixing broken exports, standardizing UTM parameters, and consistent metric definitions, with thorough documentation.
  • Replace manual reporting tools with automated dashboards, scheduled reports, and alert systems.
  • Integrate AI-powered tools such as large language models for analysis assistance, automated insight generation, anomaly detection, and natural language querying for non-technical teams.
  • Promote data literacy by conducting sessions to empower teams to understand and interpret their own data.

Candidate Profile

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in business, growth, or operations analytics, preferably in D2C, edtech, SaaS, or other fast-paced startup environments.
  • Proficient in SQL, especially MySQL, capable of independently extracting data from production and CRM databases.
  • Advanced skills in spreadsheet tools (Google Sheets or Excel) plus proficiency in one BI tool such as Looker Studio, Metabase, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Experience working with Meta and Google Ads data, including UTM and attribution frameworks, and CRM funnel analytics.
  • Familiarity with Python or Apps Script for automation, and routine use of AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to improve productivity.
  • Strong structured thinking skills to translate complex business questions into metrics, queries, and actionable recommendations promptly.
  • Excellent communication ability to distill key insights clearly and effectively without relying on overwhelming dashboards.

Desired Extras

  • Experience with high-value sales funnels, webinar or VSL funnels, payment reconciliation, dbt or ETL tools, and experimentation design are advantageous.

What You Will Gain

  • Ownership of analytics: build the analytics function, develop standards, and lead growth as the department expands.
  • Direct collaboration with CXOs, participating in strategic decisions related to pricing, spending, recruitment, and products.
  • Competitive compensation with industry-leading ESOPs providing genuine ownership stakes.
  • Access to AI-first tool budgets and a mandate to utilize innovative AI technologies.
  • Funding for continuous learning through courses, certifications, and conferences.
  • Visible impact on business outcomes through dashboards that influence ad spend, optimize funnels, and improve client hiring rates.
  • Contribute to a meaningful mission helping experienced professionals successfully advance their careers.
