Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Acceptance Analyst to join our Risk & Compliance team based in Brisbane on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves supporting the Global Risk & Compliance Department, particularly the Business Acceptance Team. Your main responsibility will be to protect the firm from reputational, legal, and commercial risks by: analyzing new clients and matters to identify and resolve conflicts of interest, ensuring compliance with AML/CTF regulations, and adhering to international standards concerning sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and adverse client-related media coverage.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate possesses a clear and confident communication style, strong analytical and investigative skills, and thrives in a collaborative, dynamic team environment. A legal qualification is not required, but strong problem-solving skills, professionalism, and sound judgment are essential.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience in Risk & Compliance, Conflicts management, or AML/KYC within professional services, preferably in law firms or large corporations
  • Knowledge of AML/CTF legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Preferred degree qualifications in Law, Risk Management, Business, Politics, Economics, or related fields, although not mandatory
  • Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and resilience under pressure
  • Demonstrated good judgment and curiosity for problem resolution
  • Collaborative team player who can mentor and diplomatically assist others in resolving issues
  • Adaptable and flexible with evolving processes and new technologies
