Building Security Supervisor

Job Overview

The Building Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing security operations at client premises, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, assets, and property within the facility.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise security guards, including overseeing shift deployments and attendance rosters.
• Ensure punctual reporting and deployment of guards at assigned posts.
• Conduct routine security patrols and inspections to maintain safety.
• Monitor security systems such as CCTV, access control, visitor logs, and vehicle movements.
• Carry out thorough checking of employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors entering the premises.
• Maintain accurate records including security registers, incident reports, visitor entries, and shift handovers.
• Respond rapidly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, fire alarms, and other critical events.
• Liaise and coordinate with client management, facility teams, emergency services, police, and fire departments as needed.
• Hold daily briefings and toolbox talks to ensure security personnel are informed and prepared.
• Enforce adherence to site standard operating procedures, uniform codes, discipline, and security protocols.
• Report any incidents, suspicious behavior, violations, or security risks to senior management or operation heads.
• Assist during emergency evacuations and maintain crowd control measures.
• Ensure smooth shift transitions and uninterrupted security coverage.
• Train and mentor security staff on site-specific processes and regulations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong communication and leadership abilities to effectively manage a security team.
• Sound knowledge of security operations, access control measures, and emergency management.
• Basic proficiency in computer usage and report writing.
• Excellent observation skills with good decision-making capability.
• Prior experience in building or corporate security supervision is advantageous.

Education and Eligibility

Applicants should be at least 12th pass or preferably graduates. Previous experience in security supervisory roles is preferred. Ex-servicemen candidates may receive preference.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is ₹22,000 to ₹26,000 per month.
