Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef (at Chef de Partie level) to join the hospitality team at King Street Townhouse Hotel & Spa, a luxurious boutique hotel in central Manchester. Set within a distinguished Grade II-listed building, the hotel offers elegant accommodations along with fine dining, a spa, fitness center, private cinema, and versatile event spaces.
The Breakfast Chef will produce exceptional dishes primarily using fresh ingredients and appropriate cooking techniques, with ongoing support and training. Key responsibilities include efficient planning to ensure continuous meal production, introducing creativity and innovation into menu development, and maintaining high professional standards throughout kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute food preparation and presentation at a high standard within your area of expertise.
- Plan and manage time effectively to sustain consistent production levels.
- Mentor and train junior kitchen staff including demi-chef de parties and commis chefs.
- Collaborate with sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus.
- Implement and uphold food safety, hygiene, and quality standards in the kitchen.
- Monitor portion size and control waste to optimize profit margins.
- Contribute to achieving service goals and kitchen performance targets set by management.
