Job Overview

This role is designated as Branch Manager/CDD Head, primarily focusing on sales, business development, and managing a team. The position reports to the Cluster Head or Regional Head and requires overseeing branch operations and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development activities to boost branch revenue through equity trading, third-party product sales, and consistent acquisition of new clients.
  • Formulate and execute strategies aimed at meeting branch sales and profitability targets.
  • Identify and capitalize on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across financial products including mutual funds, insurance, PMS, structured products, and fixed income instruments.
  • Manage daily branch operations to deliver smooth equity trading and financial services execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards including SEBI, NSE/BSE, and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Lead a team comprising equity dealers, relationship managers, and other staff members, setting performance goals and conducting regular reviews.
  • Provide mentorship and training to improve team capabilities and foster a results-oriented culture.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with high-net-worth and retail clients by offering tailored investment advice and excellent service.
  • Respond to client inquiries and feedback promptly to sustain high client satisfaction levels.
  • Keep abreast of equity market trends, economic factors, and corporate actions to guide informed investment decisions for clients and team members.
  • Assist clients with portfolio diversification and risk management strategies.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure transparency and strict adherence to compliance.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field is mandatory; an MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the equity market, including at least 2 years in leadership or managerial positions.
  • Proven team management skills with experience supervising 10 or more members.
  • Strong capability in strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving.
  • A client-focused mindset aimed at delivering value and maintaining excellent relationships.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
