Position Summary

This position is for a full-time, onsite Boilermaker role located in Riverhills, Queensland. The incumbent will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal frameworks, components, and various equipment, employing diverse welding and cutting strategies. Daily duties involve interpreting technical drawings and blueprints accurately, precise measurement, material cutting, performing different welding operations, and verifying finished work against quality and accuracy standards. The role also requires adherence to safety protocols while handling tools, machinery, and lifting equipment, following established company guidelines and industry benchmarks. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with supervisors and peers to ensure timely project completion, maintain workplace cleanliness, and contribute to continuous improvements in fabrication techniques.

Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise in metal fabrication: measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling various metal parts.
• Proficiency in Welding and TIG Welding methods applied to structural and precision components.
• Experience operating Oxy-acetylene equipment for cutting, heating, and fundamental welding jobs.
• Capability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints for precise fabrication tasks.
• Completion of a relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in Boilermaking or Metal Fabrication.
• Comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety practices within workshop and site environments.
• Competent and safe usage of hand tools, power tools, welding apparatus, and measuring devices.
• Dependable, self-motivated, able to work independently or collaboratively with an emphasis on accuracy and quality.
• Previous experience in industrial manufacturing, heavy industry, or construction environments highly valued.
