Job description

Role Overview

Join our Melbourne-based Catering team and collaborate closely with the Front of House Team within the wider Business Operations Department, which also includes Concierge, Records Management, and Facilities Management teams. Our Corporate Catering group crafts a range of modern, innovative food offerings that elevate client events, from formal breakfasts, lunches, dinners to cocktails and seminars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver polished, high-end corporate wait service for all boardroom reservations and events.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to our clients and company employees.
  • Ensure dining spaces, boardrooms, and internal kitchens remain impeccably presented and tidy.
  • Manage and serve catering for both internal and external functions.
  • Efficiently clear and reset dining areas once events conclude.
  • Keep workspaces clean and organized, including maintenance of coffee machines, dish restocking, and ensuring serviceware is in good condition.
  • Track stock levels of consumables and service items in kitchens, dining areas, and boardrooms.
  • Train incoming staff members as needed.
  • Support the team by carrying out basic administrative duties.
  • Be available for occasional evening shifts.

Work Hours

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working from 10am to 6pm with some flexibility on Fridays depending on event demands.

Candidate Profile

  • Essential barista experience.
  • Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience collaborating in teams to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Must hold current Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
  • Preferred knowledge of local and international food and wine varieties.
  • A strong motivation to learn, develop, network, and mentor others.
