Role Overview

The BIM Modeler will be tasked with producing detailed 3D electrical BIM models, especially focusing on pool electrical systems and lighting networks. This role supports design coordination, documentation, and construction processes across dynamic real estate and community development ventures within the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain precise 3D BIM models covering electrical components for swimming pools, including pumps, control systems, underwater lighting, and bonding/earthing, as well as site and building lighting networks.
• Collaborate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and landscaping teams to detect and resolve model clashes.
• Generate electrical working drawings, single-line diagrams, sectional views, detailed components, and conduct quantity take-offs utilizing BIM models.
• Ensure all models conform to BIM execution plans, required levels of detail (LOD), and adhere to company and client standards.
• Adapt and update models in response to design revisions, RFIs, and site instructions.
• Assist in preparing BIM coordination reports and maintain records of clash detections.
• Communicate regularly with electrical and pool consultants, as well as site personnel, to verify model alignment with design intent.
• Extract necessary data from BIM models to aid material scheduling, cost estimation, and procurement activities.
• Manage model data within the Common Data Environment (CDE) and oversee version control.
• Attend BIM coordination meetings and participate in design review sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Have at least five years of professional experience as a BIM Modeler, specifically working with electrical systems for pools and lighting projects.
• Mandatory hands-on experience on projects within the UAE.
• Proficient with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks software tools.
• Familiarity with BIM standards such as ISO 19650 and the preparation of BIM execution plans (BEP).
• Strong knowledge of pool electrical systems, lighting design concepts, and the electrical codes and standards applicable in the UAE.
