Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Develop and update the Post-Contract BIM Management Plan and the Building Execution Plan (BEP).
- Review and approve the Post-Contract BIM Execution Plans submitted by all project parties relevant to the scope.
- Establish, maintain, and manage a centralized database hosting all BIM models and related content under the supervision of the BIM Project Manager.
- Manage interfaces between project assets and ensure smooth integration.
- Set up the Common Data Environment (CDE) for the project according to the Employer's Information Requirements (EIR), and conduct necessary training for consultants and contractors on using the BIM CDE.
- Lead or participate in BIM onboarding sessions with consultants and contractors to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Monitor and manage BIM reporting submitted by consultants and contractors.
- Ensure Levels of Information Need (LOIN) delivered in models align with project stage deliverables.
- Provide regular updates to clients via an integrated dashboard regarding BIM process status on projects.
- Maintain BIM-related risks and issues within the Project Risk Register and formulate mitigation plans.
- Keep a federated model updated with the latest versions covering the relevant project scope.
- Document lessons learned and share insights with project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project leadership to review models and identify any design concerns.
- Manage and receive contractor-provided BIM models during the construction phase.
- Ensure BIM model information accurately represents the as-built conditions and maintains high reliability.
- Conduct regular audits, integration, and validations to maintain model robustness.
- Oversee quality and quantity of model information and supply clash detection services.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of BIM elements, standards, families, and 2D/3D content.
- Coordinate timely submission and exchange of models among team members.
- Ensure adherence to Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies and BIM related manuals and procedures within the organization.
- Liaise with regional offices to obtain technical support ensuring completeness and accuracy in information production.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering from an accredited university.
- Proven track record as a Site Supervisor Consultant.
- Experience working with ISO 19650 standards.
- At least 8 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years dedicated to BIM implementation on significant projects or programs.
- Highly skilled in BIM authoring and proprietary software such as Revit, Civil 3D, AECOsim, Dynamo, Grasshopper, Navisworks, CostX, Synchro, BIM collaboration platforms, or similar tools.
- Strong command of English with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of preparing letters, technical instructions, analytical reports, and presentations effectively.
