BIM Coordinator – Architecture

Position Overview

Join Parsons as a BIM Coordinator specializing in Architecture based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role involves managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for luxury construction projects within a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) setting, focusing on architectural and structural elements to uphold exceptional standards of design and execution for high-end developments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update detailed 3D architectural and structural building models using Autodesk Revit and allied BIM tools.
• Ensure building models incorporate luxury design elements, including premium materials, finishes, and tailored features.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including MEP, Civil, and interior design to create fully coordinated building models meeting project specifications.
• Facilitate meetings among consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to review BIM progress and resolve coordination issues promptly.
• Conduct clash detection with Navisworks or similar software, identify conflicts, and implement resolutions to prevent delays.
• Generate comprehensive architectural and structural documentation, including drawings, schedules, and reports derived from BIM models aligned with luxury quality standards, local regulations, and international codes.
• Implement stringent quality control procedures to maintain accuracy and consistency of BIM data, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 19650 and PMC quality protocols.
• Identify and manage risks associated with luxury-specific design features early in projects, collaborating with management to mitigate issues through model refinements.
• Provide training and technical support to project teams, promoting effective use and understanding of BIM processes and keeping abreast of emerging BIM technologies relevant to luxury construction.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience of 13 to 15 years in BIM management with a minimum of 10 years focused on luxury building projects within the construction industry.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM-related technologies.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, materials, and finishes typical of luxury construction projects.
• Proven capability in clash detection, model coordination, and preparing detailed architectural and structural drawings.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for multi-disciplinary teamwork.
• Detail-oriented with a strong appreciation for luxury design aesthetics and stringent quality requirements.
• Experience working under tight deadlines managing multiple stakeholders and producing high-quality outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in BIM management or Autodesk Revit (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).
• Experience within PMC environments on large-scale luxury residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
• Familiarity with sustainable construction methods and integrating green building technologies and workflows into BIM processes.
