Role Overview

The Bilingual Front Desk Agent is a full-time, on-site position based at the Best Western Premier Accra Airport Hotel in Accra. The role entails greeting guests warmly, managing check-in and check-out operations, and delivering clear information about hotel amenities and local points of interest in two languages. Daily duties involve answering phone calls, addressing guest inquiries, facilitating reservations, liaising with housekeeping and other departments, and overseeing billing and payment tasks. The agent ensures seamless front desk functionality by maintaining effective communication, swiftly addressing guest concerns, and adhering to the hotel's professional and courteous standards. This role requires willingness to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays to support continuous front office operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Demonstrated strong customer service and guest interaction skills, fostering a warm and professional front desk atmosphere.
  • Competence in front office responsibilities including guest check-in/out, record maintenance, and basic administrative functions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and an additional widely spoken language, both in person and over the phone.
  • Experience handling reservations with proficiency in booking, adjusting, and cancelling using hotel management or Property Management Systems (PMS).
  • Capacity to perform efficiently in a dynamic environment, multitask competently, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, precise handling of cash and card payments, and fundamental computer skills including email, MS Office, and hotel-related applications.
  • Previous experience in front desk or hospitality roles is highly regarded; experience with internationally recognized hotel brands is advantageous.
  • Professional appearance, dependability, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Educational background or formal training in hospitality, tourism, or customer service is an asset.
