Job description

About Heidi

Heidi is revolutionizing healthcare by providing clinicians with an advanced AI Care Partner designed to enhance patient care and streamline administrative tasks. Within 18 months, our clinical AI products have efficiently managed complexities arising from 73 million patient visits, currently supporting over 2.5 million patient appointments weekly across more than 190 countries. Our mission is to double global healthcare capacity while restoring the essential human connection in medicine.

Role Overview

As our Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role driving Heidi’s expansion throughout Australian and New Zealand health systems. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of bids, proposals, and tender responses aimed at enterprise clients, collaborating with clinical, product, commercial, and operations teams. Your leadership will ensure submissions embody Heidi's value proposition, demonstrate clinical safety commitment, and achieve competitive success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead assessment of bid eligibility and develop detailed bid plans with timelines and clear responsibilities for all ongoing tenders.
  • Analyze tender documentation meticulously to identify requirements, evaluation metrics, and potential risks in fine print.
  • Manage the complete tender process, coordinating contributions from multiple departments including clinical, information governance, product, engineering, finance, and legal.
  • Craft and continuously enhance submission content tailored to the priorities and scoring guidelines of health buyers in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Ensure all submissions comply with required standards such as ISO 27001, IRAP readiness for Australian tenders, HISF and HISO standards for New Zealand tenders, and relevant Privacy Act regulations.
  • Coordinate internal reviews, maintain strict version control, and deliver polished, timely submissions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for bid-related activities, managing clarifications and direct engagement with customers.
  • Conduct post-bid evaluations by analyzing scoring and feedback to improve future bidding approaches.
  • Develop and update a reusable content library for bids, incorporating lessons learned and market insights.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience leading complex healthcare system tenders in Australia or New Zealand, with a focus on winning major contracts rather than just tenure.
  • Strong enthusiasm for software, believing in technology's transformative impact on daily work.
  • Proven success in securing multi-year, seven-figure contracts through diverse procurement channels like state, territory, or hospital networks within ANZ.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to simultaneously manage several active bids without missing deadlines, maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Demonstrated passion for artificial intelligence evidenced by hands-on experience, prototyping, or side projects.
  • A proactive maker mentality, preferring to build solutions rather than just request resources.
  • Confidence in critical thinking combined with openness to feedback, prioritizing ideas over ego.

Company Values & Culture

  • Focus on long-term impact over short-term gains, setting ambitious targets driven by the critical needs of global health.
  • Proactive leadership in addressing tomorrow’s challenges today, sometimes anticipating needs before demand exists.
  • Commitment to evidence-based decision-making balanced with patient-centered care, avoiding ego-driven biases.
  • Ownership mentality, taking full responsibility for outcomes and problem-solving end-to-end.
  • Iterative development, valuing fast and precise delivery of improvements rather than perfect plans.
  • Empathy for clinicians’ real-world work environments, designing solutions suited for demanding and hectic workflows.

Additional Information

Joining Heidi means becoming part of a team devoted to creating meaningful health system improvements rather than chasing valuations or hype. We prioritize sustainable performance and mental health, offering flexibility to set your own schedule with an outcome-focused work approach. While the work is challenging, it is highly rewarding with a welcoming and collaborative team culture.

Benefits

  • Annual learning and development allowance of $1,000

  • $500 budget for home office setup
  • 26 weeks of paid primary parental leave and 18 weeks paid secondary parental leave
