Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Bid Manager to spearhead the development of competitive and high-quality tender submissions for significant projects across New Zealand. This role requires overseeing bid strategies, orchestrating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that proposals are commercially viable, compliant, and aligned with ACCIONA's core values of sustainability, innovation, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete tender processes including Expression of Interest (EOI), Request for Proposal (RFP) stages, ensuring timely delivery of compliant and competitive bids.
- Develop compelling bid strategies with focused win themes, client-centric value propositions, and aligned messaging in accordance with evaluation benchmarks and market expectations.
- Coordinate efforts among technical, commercial, and leadership teams to produce integrated and persuasive bid submissions.
- Foster strategic relationships with clients to influence procurement direction and tailor bids for future opportunities.
- Supervise commercial aspects and risk management by incorporating pricing, cost modeling, and risk mitigation to secure commercially sound proposals.
- Ensure strict adherence to governance standards, procurement regulations, and internal authorization protocols during bid preparation and execution.
- Continuously refine bidding procedures, tools, and frameworks to increase efficiency, quality, and consistency of submissions.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of five years’ experience in bid management, proposal development, or related project coordination roles.
- Expertise in crafting clear, convincing, and client-focused submission documents and executive summaries.
- Strong understanding of compliance mandates, bid governance protocols, and structured submission processes including EOIs and RFPs.
- Proficiency in analyzing pricing models, managing cost structures, and performing risk assessments to create commercially viable offers.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple contributors effectively, maintain timelines, and deliver results under pressure.
