About the Company
SURE Solutions stands as the UK's largest privately owned provider of on-vehicle CCTV, telematics, and AI-driven transport technologies. For over two decades, they have equipped thousands of buses and coaches for leading operators such as Go-Ahead Group and Lothian, playing a crucial role in the UK's public transport infrastructure.
Role Overview
We are seeking a pioneering Bid Manager to establish and lead our bid management function from the ground up. This strategic position involves full ownership of the bid process, including crafting detailed technical and social value proposals for major UK transport sector tenders. The role is designed to drive considerable market expansion amid significant regulatory changes in transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire bid lifecycle for multiple tenders simultaneously, from initial qualification to submission and post-submission feedback.
- Write comprehensive technical, social value, and service delivery responses that effectively translate complex engineering concepts into compelling, high-scoring bid content.
- Develop and maintain an extensive content library, evidence database, and social value framework to ensure consistent high-quality submissions.
Why This Role Is Unique
- Opportunity to build the bid process and standards from scratch, shaping the overall strategic approach to securing high-value contracts.
- Work with an established market leader in transport technology with a strong client base including Go-Ahead Group and West Coast Motors.
- Directly collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Director, providing a fast decision-making pathway and significant influence on company growth.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable experience managing and authoring UK public sector bids, particularly adhering to the Procurement Act 2023 framework.
- Excellent command of written English, capable of meeting strict word count limits and technical demands while producing persuasive narratives.
- Familiarity with e-tendering platforms and ability to coordinate effectively with technical experts to gather the necessary information for successful bids.
