About the Role
Telent Technology Services Ltd requires a Bid Manager to oversee and coordinate high-quality bidding efforts within its Network Services division. Operating primarily from home with occasional visits to the Warwick headquarters, this role supports bids across various sectors including education, government, emergency services, defense, and rail. The role demands security clearance eligibility and involves working collaboratively with Sales, Technical, Commercial, and Subject Matter Expert teams to develop compelling proposals and submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage bids from identification through submission, review, and post-submission activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, SMEs, Technical and Commercial leads to shape cohesive and detailed bids.
- Oversee requirement matrices, cost assessments, deal evaluations, and bid governance procedures to ensure timely and thorough submissions.
- Handle bids involving network technologies, cloud infrastructure, CCTV upgrades, WAN and SD-WAN solutions.
- Track progress of bids, coordinate multiple review sessions, and document key decisions and follow-ups.
- Drive continuous improvement by sharing best practices and lessons learned to enhance future bidding performance.
- Assist with post-bid activities including presentations, win/loss analyses, and recommendations to improve outcomes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and highly organized, skilled at coordinating diverse teams and managing complex requirements into straightforward, well-structured bids. Experience in telecom, infrastructure, public sector, emergency services or related industries is valued. Familiarity with public sector frameworks like Network Services 3 or Crown Commercial frameworks is beneficial. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated history of managing bids, tenders, or proposals from start to finish.
- Strong project coordination, organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating with Sales, Technical experts, and Commercial Leads.
- Ability to interpret customer needs, manage documentation, and facilitate structured review processes.
- Commercial acumen, with the capability to support financial bid components including cost analysis.
- APMP certification or progress towards it preferred.
- Eligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance (minimum 5 years UK residency required, with sponsorship provided for qualifying candidates).

Additional Details
