Role Overview
The Bellperson position is a full-time, onsite role located at Le Méridien Kochi. The primary responsibilities include warmly welcoming guests upon arrival, handling luggage efficiently, guiding guests to and from their rooms, and providing explanations about the hotel's services and facilities.
Key Duties
- Collaborate with the front desk to coordinate guest arrivals and departures.
- Manage luggage storage, tagging, and delivery with care.
- Offer supplementary assistance to concierge and reception teams when required.
- Arrange transportation and promptly respond to guest inquiries and requests.
- Maintain a neat and inviting lobby and entrance area.
- Adhere to safety protocols and present oneself professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Effective communication skills, including clear verbal expression and a courteous, professional demeanor.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service focused on guest satisfaction and responsiveness.
- Experience or skills related to receptionist responsibilities such as assisting with check-in/check-out and liaising with front office staff.
- Competence in luggage handling encompassing safe lifting techniques, correct tagging, storage, and delivery processes.
- Willingness to learn hotel standards and participate in training, as well as supporting new team members during onboarding.
- Preferably previous experience in hospitality or front-of-house roles.
- Basic knowledge of local attractions and transportation options.
- Ability to stand and walk for long durations.
- Minimum education level: high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in English and local languages is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Maintain professional grooming and appearance according to hotel guidelines.
