Position Overview
Located at our Wallsend Head Office, this permanent full-time role offers a competitive starting salary from $115,000 plus superannuation, with flexible working hours from Monday to Friday and no weekend or after-hours commitments. The role includes genuine work-from-home opportunities, rostered days off, and all necessary equipment such as a fully expensed company car, mobile phone, and laptop. External supervision is accessible and tailored to support your professional development, and scheduling assistance ensures focus on meaningful tasks. As part of the leadership team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals including Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, and Registered Nurses, with the chance to lead and expand the behaviour support team.

Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute evidence-based behavioural plans grounded in functional behavioural assessments.
- Work towards reducing and eliminating Restrictive Practices in compliance with regulatory requirements and NDIS Practice Standards.
- Provide both operational and clinical leadership to team members reporting to you.
- Coordinate and collaborate with allied health professionals such as OTs, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, and RNs, including facilitating staff training on the safe delivery of Behaviour Support Plans.
- Engage with clients' families, carers, and support coordinators to ensure behaviour support plans are practical, person-centred, and effectively implemented.
Candidate Requirements
- Current NDIS-registered Behaviour Support Practitioner at or above Proficient level with a minimum of four years clinical experience.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or Nursing.
- Proven leadership capability with strong strategic planning expertise.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Restrictive Practices and behaviour support planning aligned with regulatory standards.
- Possession of a valid driver's licence and First Aid Certificate, in addition to holding an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
