Role Overview
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner registered with the NDIS Commission, you will positively impact the lives of people with disabilities by promoting their rights, reducing behaviours of concern, and improving quality of life. Your responsibilities include assessment, planning, delivering, and evaluating individualized support plans in close collaboration with clients, their families, and your multidisciplinary team.
Key Duties
- Conduct client assessments and engage in person-centred planning to identify needs.
- Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies aligned with The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, with a focus on eliminating restrictive practices in various environments.
- Create, implement, and review evidence-based behaviour support plans within complex settings.
- Ensure plans reflect client strengths, passions, and aspirations.
- Empower and build capacity among families, carers, and other support persons.
Support and Development
- Receive weekly individual clinical supervision from experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners and access group supervisions.
- Engage in national onboarding and ongoing learning programs focused on positive behaviour support.
- Benefit from resources such as fortnightly learning sessions led by advanced practitioners and an extensive library of over 100 materials.
- Create personalized Continuing Professional Development plans to progress from Core to Advanced practitioner levels.
- Opportunity to specialize in practice areas, leadership, or case management with ongoing clinical support.

Candidate Profile
- Current registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Commission and experience in positive behaviour support provision.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal influence.
- Proficient computer literacy.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Residence within a 30-minute drive of Mullumbimby, NSW.
Qualifications
Degree-level qualifications relevant to supporting individuals with behaviours of concern are highly desirable.

Bachelor's Degree
