Battery Preventive Maintenance Technician - Jacksonville

This role is part of the Industrial Maintenance department within Maintenance & Equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on various powered industrial equipment batteries in compliance with company policies as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
• Follow repair manuals, manufacturer specifications, and apply personal expertise related to powered industrial equipment batteries.
• Support additional tasks as assigned within the department.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18, or 19 years for Alabama candidates.
• Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
• Capability to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in basic reading, writing, and mathematical problem-solving.
• Pass prerequisite testing on Computation, Following Written Directions, Space Visualization, and Mechanical Aptitude prior to commencing the role.
• Interpret and execute instructions accurately.
• Work efficiently with computerized maintenance-management systems.
• Demonstrate teamwork skills and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality records.
• Show a proactive attitude with enthusiasm, initiative, pride in work, and commitment to the organization’s mission.
• Exhibit effective verbal and written communication, problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and adhere to safe work practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current experience as an Industrial Maintenance associate is advantageous.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate a company vehicle by the start date.
