About the Role
Join our team as a Batcher in Charge and take full responsibility for daily operations at two concrete plants located in Queensland. Working mainly from Pittsworth Concrete Plant, you will manage batching processes, customer interactions, and maintain site standards. Travel between both sites is required, with a company vehicle provided. This position is full-time, with regular hours from 6:00am to 2:00pm and occasional Saturday mornings, including overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Precisely batch concrete orders according to specified mix designs
- Handle all necessary daily administrative duties related to the Concrete Batch Plant
- Ensure correct concrete mixes are batched and trucks are assigned efficiently to maintain smooth operations
- Maintain yard and plant cleanliness and perform routine maintenance tasks, including operating a front-end loader safely
- Operate independently to guarantee safe, efficient, and reliable site management
Candidate Requirements
- Strong dedication to workplace safety, environmental standards, and superior customer service
- Competent with computer systems to complete daily plant administrative tasks
- Possession of a front-end loader license and experience is desirable; training can be provided if needed
- Having a current forklift license is advantageous
- Valid White Card and First Aid certification are mandatory
- Dependable and capable of working autonomously to confidently manage the site
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in batching or the concrete industry preferred
- Positive mindset and willingness to foster a motivated team environment
