Role Overview

The Batcher at Readymix plays a vital role in ensuring concrete is mixed accurately according to established mix designs, scheduled production plans, and quality benchmarks. This full-time remote position entails operating computerized batching systems, fine-tuning ingredient proportions, and overseeing the order of material loading and mixing. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with dispatch and transport personnel to coordinate load timings, confirming availability of raw materials, documenting all batch information meticulously, and identifying and escalating equipment or quality concerns promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor computerized batching equipment to maintain precise concrete mix formulations.
• Adjust quantities of raw materials as needed to comply with different batch specifications.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and drivers to ensure timely delivery according to production schedules.
• Verify stock levels of raw materials and communicate shortages promptly.
• Maintain detailed and organized documentation of all batch data and production activities.
• Report any malfunctions or quality deviations encountered during the batching process.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements within an industrial or construction environment.
• Support ongoing improvements in batching procedures and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in concrete or other materials batching processes, including familiarity with mix designs and production workflows.
• Competence in operating and supervising computerized control systems and associated production software with great attention to detail.
• Strong foundational skills in basic mathematics, measurement techniques, and quality control methods.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities to work collaboratively with remote teams, especially dispatch and drivers.
• Commitment to maintaining workplace safety and adhering to industry compliance standards.
• Good organizational capabilities for managing production records and adapting to scheduling changes as required.
• Previous background in ready-mix concrete production, construction materials, or related industrial manufacturing is preferred.
• Educational requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training relevant to production or industrial operations is advantageous.
