Bartender

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join the team at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Limited in Doha, Qatar. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring a memorable and pleasant experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and serve diverse beverages following the company's recipes and quality standards.
• Interact warmly and professionally with guests, offering recommendations and responding knowledgeably to queries about the menu.
• Keep the bar area tidy, well-organized, and fully stocked, including glassware, spirits, mixers, and garnishes.
• Observe guest alcohol intake to promote safety and comply with licensing regulations.
• Handle guest orders and payments precisely using the POS system.
• Support inventory tasks such as stocking, rotating goods, and placing supply orders.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols consistently.
• Work cooperatively with front- and back-of-house staff to deliver smooth service.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous bartending experience, ideally within luxury hotels or upscale restaurants.
• Comprehensive knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills focused on excellent customer service.
• Ability to maintain quality work under fast-paced environments.
• Physical stamina to stand for long durations and lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Bartending certification or formal training is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English required; additional language skills considered a plus.
