Job description
Position Summary
The role involves preparing a variety of drinks adhering strictly to specified recipes using standardized measuring tools. Responsibilities include serving opened bottles of wine and champagne and ensuring the bar area, including units, tables, and equipment, stays clean and well-maintained. The bartender will prepare fresh garnishes, stock necessary supplies such as ice, glassware, and papers, and transport these to the bar setup area.
Key duties involve washing dirty glassware, clearing soiled items from bar and tables, promptly recognizing and communicating refill requirements, processing all types of payment modes, and managing the cash bank at the shift end including counting, reporting, discrepancy resolution, receipt handling, and securing cash.
The position also requires securing all alcoholic beverages and storage spaces, performing closing tasks, complying with all company safety and security protocols, and reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions. The bartender must maintain a professional personal and uniform appearance, safeguard company confidential information and assets, and deliver excellent guest service by warmly welcoming, anticipating service needs, and thanking guests sincerely.
Effective communication skills, teamwork, and supportive relationships with colleagues are essential. The bartender must uphold quality standards, carefully read and verify information, and be physically capable to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, lift objects up to 50 pounds, navigate various environments including stairs and ramps, and perform other tasks as directed by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Minimum of one year experience in a related role.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification necessary.
