About the Role
Aroon Food Services Private Limited is seeking motivated and competent Baristas for the Dalgona Café located at Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur. This full-time position involves working in rotational shifts and requires candidates passionate about coffee preparation, hospitality, and delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic airport setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of espresso-based drinks such as Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha, cold coffees, frappés, and specialty beverages following established recipes.
- Operate commercial-grade espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment proficiently.
- Consistently ensure correct coffee dosage, grind size, milk steaming techniques, extraction, and appealing beverage presentation.
- Maintain quality, taste, and prompt service especially during busy airport periods.
- Uphold cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards within the coffee station area.
- Manage daily mise-en-place tasks and monitor stock and ingredient availability.
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles to minimize waste of coffee beans, milk, and other ingredients.
- Engage proactively with customers by assisting with menu choices, suggesting add-ons, and contributing to upselling efforts.
- Collaborate with the cashier, kitchen staff, and service team to ensure smooth cafe operations.
- Conduct daily cleaning and basic upkeep of coffee machines and grinders.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of one year experience as a Barista or in a café setting is preferred.
- Solid understanding of espresso-based coffee preparation and milk steaming.
- Strong communication and customer service capabilities.
- Neat appearance, discipline, punctuality, and ability to work well within a team.
- Adaptability to work in rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Experience with reputed coffee brands or airport cafés such as Starbucks, Costa, CCD, Barista, Third Wave, Blue Tokai, Tim Hortons, or hotel outlets is an advantage.
