Barista

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Barista to join our team at Restaurant Associates. You will be central to crafting outstanding coffee and beverages, while ensuring customers have great experiences. This full-time position involves 40 hours per week over 5 days on a flexible shift pattern, as our café operates 7 days weekly.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, drinks, and food items that encourage repeat visits.
• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere to deliver excellent customer experiences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and café environment.
• Handle payments efficiently, including cash and card transactions.
• Engage actively as a team member, ensuring clear communication with colleagues and patrons.
• Keep mugs, plates, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready for use.
• Expand your knowledge about coffee, brewing techniques, blends, food prep, and presentation.
• Check brewing equipment functionality and promptly report maintenance needs.
• Uphold Restaurant Associates’ brand image with pride and professionalism.
• Comply with Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and company policies at all times.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrates excellent communication skills and provides friendly customer interactions.
• Has previous experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles.
• Presents a positive and motivated mindset with a commitment to provide top-quality service.
• Confident in using initiative to make decisions prioritizing customer satisfaction.
• Hands-on experience operating professional coffee brewing equipment.
• Maintains calmness, orderliness, and efficiency in busy periods.
• Reliable with strong punctuality and dependability.
