Barista

Role Overview

We seek a warm, proficient, and enthusiastic Barista to craft superior coffee and beverages, ensure patron satisfaction, and support efficient café operations.

Core Duties

• Make coffee, tea, and various hot and cold drinks following company guidelines.
• Use and care for espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment appropriately.
• Maintain consistent beverage quality, flavor, and presentation standards.
• Take customer orders and manage payment transactions accurately.
• Deliver courteous and professional customer service at all times.
• Suggest drinks and help customers choose from the menu.
• Keep the coffee bar area tidy, well-organized, and hygienic.
• Track inventory levels and replenish coffee beans, dairy products, syrups, cups, and supplies as needed.
• Inspect ingredient freshness and manage proper storage and handling.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
• Contribute to opening, closing, cleaning, and daily café routines.
• Address customer feedback respectfully and provide extra support during busy periods.
• Report any equipment faults and assist with regular cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Undertake additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience as a Barista or in café work is advantageous.
• Sound understanding of coffee brewing and espresso techniques.
• Familiarity with commercial coffee machines is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer relation abilities.
• Friendly, lively, and optimistic demeanor.
• Great attention to detail and dedication to beverage excellence.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and responsible character.
• Capable of working independently as well as cooperating within a team.
• Availability for shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
