Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position as a Barber involves delivering comprehensive grooming services including hair cutting, styling, beard trimming, shaving, and general hair care. The Barber will engage clients by understanding their style preferences, suggesting appropriate grooming options, and ensuring consistently high-quality outcomes. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols, managing appointment schedules effectively, and fostering a welcoming and professional environment are essential responsibilities. Collaboration with colleagues supports repeat clientele and a positive shop experience.

Required Qualifications

• Proficient skills in traditional and modern hair cutting and barbering techniques.
• Knowledgeable in hair styling and hair care products, including post-service advice.
• Possession of cosmetology or formal barber education with necessary certification or licenses per local rules.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities, demonstrating professionalism with all clients.
• Physical stamina to stand for long durations and handle back-to-back appointments while maintaining quality standards.
• Strict adherence to hygiene and sanitation practices, including sterilizing tools and keeping the workstation clean.
• Prior experience working in barbershops or salons is an advantage; familiarity with the Kamloops area or similar communities is preferred.
