About the Role
Join Westpac's Blenheim branch as a Banking Adviser in a full-time, permanent capacity working Monday to Friday. In this role, you will be the approachable and dependable face who transforms everyday banking activities into valuable, positive experiences. Whether assisting first-time account holders, supporting small business clients with significant financial decisions, or identifying unspoken customer needs, you will deliver exceptional service that fosters confidence and empowerment in managing finances. Your curiosity, warmth, and attentive listening will enable you to align customers with suitable financial products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while inviting new customers to join the Westpac community.
- Promote and support the use of digital banking tools and resources.
- Provide guidance and expert advice on a wide range of banking products, including everyday accounts, KiwiSaver, and insurance.
- Be a reliable, trusted consultant helping clients feel supported throughout their financial journey.
- Contribute to expanding Westpac's presence and reputation in the local vicinity.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in a customer-centric role.
- Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to quickly establish trust.
- Effective problem-solving skills with strong aptitude for recognizing customer needs.
- Proficiency in digital tools with the ability to educate customers on their use.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational capabilities, and a firm commitment to ethical decision-making.
- Desirable: Solid understanding of banking products, services, and compliance requirements.
