Ballet Coach

About the Role

SportPlex Saudi Arabia is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Ballet Coach based in Jeddah to provide expert ballet instruction to children and young participants. The primary mission is to plan and conduct ballet classes that nurture students' technical skills, flexibility, coordination, musicality, and self-confidence within a safe, supportive setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute well-structured ballet lessons tailored to different ages and skill levels.
• Instruct fundamental ballet techniques including posture, positions, barre exercises, center work, turns, jumps, and choreography.
• Enhance learners' technique, balance, rhythm, flexibility, coordination, and musical understanding.
• Create a positive, encouraging atmosphere that makes learning enjoyable.
• Modify teaching approaches to suit varying abilities and learning needs.
• Track student progress and deliver helpful, constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment throughout training sessions.
• Implement appropriate warm-up and cool-down exercises to minimize injury risks.
• Prepare students for performances, competitions, or special events as necessary.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with parents about student progress and class requirements.
• Keep attendance records and promptly report any concerns or incidents to management.
• Collaborate with fellow coaches and SportPlex staff to enhance program development.
• Participate in SportPlex events, promotions, and community programs when called upon.
• Ensure all studio equipment and spaces are properly maintained and used safely.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working as a Ballet Teacher, Coach, or Dance Instructor.
• Formal ballet or dance education and/or recognized professional certification.
• Comprehensive understanding of classical ballet techniques and terminology.
• Preferably experienced with coaching children and teenagers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A teaching style characterized by patience, energy, creativity, and enthusiasm.
• Capability to engage students with diverse ages and skill levels.
• Professional demeanor with a positive outlook.
• First Aid/CPR certification is a beneficial asset.
