Role Overview

The Bakery Clerk plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service, supporting store sales, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of bakery-related tasks. The position demands professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating an engaging environment for both customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Strictly follow all food safety protocols, health and safety guidelines, standard operating procedures, corporate policies, and relevant initiatives.
• Provide attentive and responsive customer service to fulfill bakery-related customer needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the bakery work area daily.
• Handle customer bakery orders efficiently and accurately.
• Execute merchandising programs and appropriately display bakery products.
• Prepare and manage bakery products adhering to quality standards.
• Promote bakery product sales actively to enhance store revenue.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior team members.
• Manage inventory by ordering stock and receiving deliveries according to inventory control procedures.
• Process department shrinkage accurately.
• Ensure the bakery work environment remains safe and clean following company standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
