Bakery Service Crew

Job Overview

This role entails providing exceptional customer service in a dynamic bakery setting. Responsibilities include managing cashier operations, maintaining the quality of bakery items, supporting inventory handling, and ensuring cleanliness alongside strict adherence to food safety protocols.

Key Duties

• Provide a warm welcome and efficient service to customers to enhance their shopping experience
• Assist customers in product selection and make knowledgeable recommendations
• Accurately handle cash and electronic payment transactions at the cashier counter
• Organize, display, and replenish bakery items in an orderly manner meeting company standards
• Pack and serve bakery goods following company guidelines for presentation and quality
• Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the bakery, display counter, and dining areas at all times
• Examine bakery products to ensure freshness, quality, and monitor expiry dates before sale
• Receive, verify, and store inventory correctly to maintain stock accuracy
• Assist in opening and closing procedures to ready the outlet for daily operation
• Perform basic food preparation tasks to support bakery operations as required
• Strictly comply with food hygiene, safety, and internal operational procedures
• Address customer queries and feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Outlet Manager or Supervisor

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in food and beverage, bakery, retail, or customer service is beneficial
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment maintaining service standards
• Availability and willingness to work shifts including weekends and public holidays
• Physical stamina to stand for long durations and manage basic physical tasks
• A positive mindset and motivation to learn and develop professionally within the role
