Role Overview and Responsibilities

The position of Bakery Sales Executive is full-time and requires presence on-site in Accra. The primary responsibility is to boost both in-store and bulk product sales by welcoming customers, explaining product choices, addressing queries regarding ingredients and pricing, and conducting precise order taking and payment processing. Additional duties include managing product displays to ensure appealing presentation, monitoring inventory levels, and collaborating with the baking team to track product availability. The role also involves identifying and pursuing sales prospects, connecting with corporate and event clients, following up on inquiries, maintaining detailed customer records, responding to customer feedback, assisting in promotional activities, and supporting a clean and organized sales environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in sales and customer service with the ability to engage clients effectively, assess their needs, and successfully close sales transactions.
• Competence in operating point-of-sale systems and handling cash and card payments accurately with great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a professional demeanor with both walk-in customers and corporate clients.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety standards, with commitment to adhere to bakery protocols.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities to juggle multiple customer requests and maintain an attractive sales area.
• Capability and willingness to work on-site in Accra, including during weekends or busy periods, and to stand for prolonged intervals as needed.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or food service sales is advantageous.
• Minimum educational requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional training in sales, marketing, or hospitality considered a plus.
