Job description
Overview
This role requires a candidate to work physically on site at the bakery location in North York, Ontario. Remote work is not an option.
Languages
- Proficiency in English is required.
Education
- Completion of Secondary (high) school is necessary.
Experience
Previous experience is considered a plus but is not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Maintain proper food safety and handling practices.
- Transport raw materials, finished bakery products, and packaging supplies as needed.
- Accurately measure and load ingredients into the hoppers of mixing and grinding equipment.
- Load flattened boxes into forming machines to assemble containers.
- Provide courteous customer service when required.
- Remove filled containers from conveyor belts efficiently.
- Manually pack bakery goods into bags, boxes, or other appropriate packaging.
- Operate processing machines by feeding raw materials and unloading finished products.
- Conduct basic quality inspections of products and packaging to identify defects.
- Support process control and machine operators with their responsibilities.
- Clean machinery and the immediate work environment to maintain hygiene standards.
