Bakery Associate

Position Summary

Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate offers a valuable opportunity to grow your retail industry skills. Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality and attractive presentation of bakery items, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensure the bakery department is fully stocked and prepared for daily business operations.
• Verify that all merchandise is correctly labeled and priced.
• Comply with cold chain protocols such as thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling, product rotation, and adhering to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures meticulously.
• Properly execute ordering, clearance processes, markups/markdowns, and the correct signing and labeling of products.
• Prepare bakery products by accurately following thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality and visual standards.
• Secure all display units to ensure safety and proper arrangement.

Compensation

The minimum hourly wage for this position starts at 18.05 CAD.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
