Bakery Associate

Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in retail. In this role, you will deliver outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values, manage and organize the bakery area, support inventory stocking, and facilitate product sales.

Primary Duties

• Maintain the quality and visual appeal of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensure the bakery is fully stocked and prepared for daily operations.
• Label all merchandise clearly and accurately with pricing information.
• Comply with policies relating to cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling, stock rotation, and expiration dates.
• Follow all food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
• Properly execute procedures around ordering, clearance, price adjustments, product labeling, and signage.
• Prepare baked goods according to specific thawing and baking instructions to maintain quality and presentation.
• Secure product displays following safety guidelines.

Compensation

The starting pay rate for this role is set at $18.05 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
