Bakery Associate

Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate provides an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills in retail and customer service. This role involves maintaining the bakery area, delivering outstanding service aligned with Walmart's core values, and assisting with stocking and selling baked goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality and appealing presentation of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department well-stocked and prepared for business operations.
• Ensure all bakery merchandise is accurately signed and priced.
• Comply with standards and policies related to cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food handling, product rotation, sell-by and expiry dates.
• Follow strict food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning guidelines.
• Adhere to procedures for ordering, clearance sales, pricing adjustments, signing, labeling, and flagging merchandise.
• Prepare bakery items by carefully following thawing and baking instructions to guarantee quality and presentation.
• Secure all bakery displays safely and appropriately.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
