Bakery Associate

Position Overview

As a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will have the chance to enhance your retail and customer service expertise by supporting the bakery department. Your role involves delivering excellent customer interactions, adhering closely to Walmart's core values, maintaining bakery area organization, and assisting with inventory stocking and sales.

Key Duties

• Maintain the quality and presentational standards of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensure the bakery section is fully stocked and prepared for customers efficiently.
• Properly sign and price items according to company guidelines.
• Follow strict standards related to cold chain compliance, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food handling, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleaning protocols rigorously.
• Manage ordering, clearances, markup/markdown procedures, and proper item labeling.
• Prepare bakery items by following precise thawing and baking instructions to guarantee product freshness and appearance.
• Ensure all product displays are safely and correctly secured.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.05 per hour.
