Role Overview

The position of Bakery Assistant is a full-time role located onsite in Sharjah. Responsibilities include assisting with daily baking operations such as ingredient preparation, dough and batter mixing, and supporting the creation of breads, cakes, and pastries. The role involves aiding in cake decoration, ensuring a neat presentation of products, and maintaining cleanliness of the workstations and baking equipment. Additional duties include assisting with customer service at the counter, packaging orders, and ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of baked goods. Strict compliance with food safety regulations and effective coordination with the team are essential. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and busy times is required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Practical experience or a keen interest in baking, including foundational knowledge of bread, cakes, and pastries.
• Experience or training in cake decoration and food presentation, with a strong eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Proficiency in food preparation tasks, such as measuring ingredients, following recipes closely, and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Customer service abilities including professional interaction, accurate order-taking, and calm handling of inquiries or complaints.
• Capability to stand for prolonged durations and perform in a high-paced work environment while adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.
• Basic numeracy and communication skills for order management and effective team coordination.
• Previous experience in a bakery, café, or food service setting is beneficial but not compulsory.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Compensation and Working Conditions

The salary range offered is from 2000 to 3000 AED per month. Working hours extend between 8 to 12 hours per day with one day off weekly. Additional bonuses and benefits are also provided.
