Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create solutions that fulfill business needs.
• Develop and integrate Java services within end-to-end processing flows.
• Design and implement robust, secure, and efficient APIs to handle data storage and business logic.
• Take full responsibility for software development lifecycle and provide level 3 production support.
• Engage in code reviews and knowledge sharing with teammates.
• Offer technical leadership and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as product management, quality assurance, and infrastructure.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, security, and audit requirements, especially pertinent to financial systems.
• Maintain enterprise-grade Java applications using JDK 17 or higher and related frameworks.
• Design and build microservices architecture leveraging the Spring ecosystem.
• Utilize messaging platforms like Kafka to support event-driven architectures.
• Implement multi-threading, concurrency control, and optimize performance in Java applications.
• Uphold code quality by applying design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding standards.
• Implement security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, encryption, and secure coding.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Between 3 and 7 years of practical experience in backend development with Java.
• High proficiency with Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud frameworks.
• Strong understanding of microservices architectures and RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming technologies.
• Sound knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and performance tuning in Java.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of software design principles including SOLID and usage of design patterns.
• Experience applying application security standards like OAuth2, JWT, and encryption.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities within fast-paced agile environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
