Backend Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining the backend services that power our product. This role centers on creating robust APIs, managing data systems, and making infrastructure decisions critical to the platform's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement backend services, APIs, and manage data systems efficiently
• Design scalable data models and APIs aligned with product growth
• Produce clean, well-tested code while making sound architectural choices
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and influence architectural direction
• Collaborate closely with frontend, infrastructure, and product teams

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience developing production backend solutions
• Expertise in at least one server-side programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js
• Solid understanding of both relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience designing RESTful or GraphQL APIs
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong fundamentals in system design
