Role Responsibilities

• Create and sustain scalable, reliable backend systems leveraging Python frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to define scope and deliver exceptional features that meet critical user demands.
• Architect and implement solutions mindful of handling billions of data rows and millions of API calls per hour.
• Take complete ownership from requirements gathering to release deployment.
• Document technical specifications clearly to enable smooth handovers and collective progress among engineering peers.
• Participate actively in design and code reviews aimed at maintaining high code quality.
• Contribute significantly to evolving Trendlyne’s team into a top-tier engineering organization.
• Develop and promote best practices within the development team, ensuring adherence through thorough code reviews.
• Work with cutting-edge technologies including AI-enabled products, online backtesting tools, data visualization, and machine learning.
• Understand the performance considerations unique to web and mobile applications.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Python along with Django, Flask, or FastAPI frameworks.
• Strong familiarity with building and consuming APIs, database management, and optimizing system performance.
• Proficient with relational database systems such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and with Redis caching technologies.
• Demonstrate a proactive, ownership-driven approach to building, shipping, and refining software products.
• Optional expertise in frontend web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
