About the Opportunity

A well-established and regulated fintech organization with over two decades of industry presence is currently upgrading its global trading platforms specializing in crypto spot and CFDs. This major engineering project aims to construct backend systems capable of processing millions of trades daily with high throughput and minimal latency. The team is growing and seeking Senior Backend Engineers skilled in Java to design, enhance, and scale infrastructure handling real-time transaction volumes.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement backend microservices that support trading operations, account management, and essential platform functionalities.
• Develop RESTful and event-driven APIs to be utilized by both web and mobile applications.
• Create and refine caching mechanisms and optimize database interactions to achieve high-performance results.
• Utilize messaging platforms like Kafka and RabbitMQ to facilitate asynchronous and event-based workflows.
• Maintain system dependability through comprehensive monitoring, observability techniques, and incident management.
• Collaborate effectively with frontend, mobile, and product teams to establish clear API agreements and system behaviors.
• Engage in discussions on architecture, review system performance, and contribute to enhancing code quality.
• Deliver backend solutions engineered for scalability, minimal latency, and flawless transaction processing.

Qualifications and Skills

• More than 4 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Deep expertise with Spring Boot and the Spring framework ecosystem.
• Proven experience architecting and deploying microservices and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in working with relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis.
• Hands-on experience with message queuing systems and event-driven architecture implementations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Working knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience or interest in the fintech or trading domain involving high-volume transactional environments is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities geared towards building high-performance and resilient backend services.
