Backend Engineer (Go)

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable backend services.
• Take complete ownership of implementation from design through deployment ensuring maintainability and high performance.
• Engage in architectural design discussions, contributing informed technical insights.
• Refactor existing legacy systems to enhance structure and efficiency while preserving features.
• Manage production readiness including incident response, root cause analysis, and improving system observability.
• Produce clean, testable, and well-documented code with focus on quality and automation.
• Promote engineering excellence through active participation in code reviews and design deliberation.
• Advocate for robust software development practices and continuous process improvements.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to align goals and deliverables.
• Participate in feature and infrastructure scoping and estimation.
• Identify and reduce technical debt and enhance developer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience using Go (Golang) in production settings.
• Strong proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), and Helm.
• Familiar with messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Skilled in using Git and CI/CD pipelines within collaborative environments.
• Working knowledge of frontend technologies including React and/or Next.js.
• Basic familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Preferred Additional Expertise

• Experience designing and building scalable, secure Login-as-a-Service platforms.
• In-depth understanding of authentication protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT, and session/token management.
• Strong knowledge of social login solutions, single sign-on (SSO), and federated identity management.
• Capability to design multi-tenant identity systems with proper isolation and configurability.
• Track record of delivering developer-friendly APIs, SDKs, and comprehensive integration documentation.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both for technical and non-technical audiences.
